Transaction on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Friday, 26th April 2024, closed the last day of the week on a Positive note. The  All Share Index appreciated marginally by 0.01%, settling at 98,176.3076 from the previous close of 98,169.30. This brings the year-to-date to 31.72%,  the month-to-date to negative 6.10%, and the week-to-date to negative 1.30% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N55.512 trillion. An aggregate of 265,066,352 units of shares was traded in 6,582 deals valued at N5,022,603,077.73
Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 18 equities gained while 19 equities declined in share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Stanbic IBTC Holdings, NGX Group and First Bank of Nigeria Holdings (FBNH) Plc led other gainers with 10% growth each to close at  N49.50, N23.10 and N20.35 from their previous price of N45.00, N21.00 and N18.50

Livestock Feeds, Vitafoam Nigeria, and African Prudential Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.93%, 9.91%,  and 9.84% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc led other price decliners as it shed 10% off its share price to close at N0.36 from its previous close of N0.40

Regency Assurance, Unity Bank, and Japaul Gold Ventures Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by  9.76%, 7.65%,  and 6.83% respectively.

Volume Drivers

United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc traded about  42.352 million units of its shares in 655 deals, valued at N980.010 million

Access Holdings Plc Plc traded about 28.553 million units of its shares in 578 deals, valued at N473.107 million

The Initiate Plc traded about 26.546 million units of its shares in 48 deals, valued at N48.015 million
