Transaction on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, Sustained its bullish runs and closed the last trading day in the month of October and also the month on a positive note. The  All Share Index appreciated by 1.65% to settle at 69,236.19 from the previous close of 68,111.71. This brings the year-to-date to 33.77%, the month-to-date to 4.25% and the week-to-date to 3.10% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N38.039trillion. An aggregate of 483,269,977 units of shares was traded in 8,027 deals valued at N6.044billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 40 equities gained while 25 equities declined in share prices.

Percentage Gainers
Airtel Africa Plc led other gainers with 10% growth to close at N1,540.10 from its previous price of N1,400.10

Cadbury Nigeria, Northern Nigeria Flour Mills (NNFM) and Chams Holding Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.92%, 9.92% and 9.90% respectively.

Percentage Losers
Beta Glass Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.93% off its share prices to close at N60.30 from its previous close of N66.95

University Press, Ellah Lakes and Sovreign Trust Insurance Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 9.79%, 9.56% and 8.82% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Japaul Gold Ventures Plc traded about 151.594million units of its shares in 411 deals, valued at N181.859million

United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc Plc traded about 33.933million units of its shares in 596 deals, valued at N688.201million.

Zenith Bank Plc traded about 29.899million units of its shares in 486 deals, valued at N996.447million
