Transaction on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Thursday, September 14, 2023,  closed on a negative note. The  All Share Index declined by 0.05% to settle at 67,347.73 from the previous close of 67,414.40. This brings the year-to-date to 30.33%, the month-to-date to 1.27% and the week-to-date to a negative 1.11% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N36.876Trillion. An aggregate of 788,536,741 units of shares were traded in 8,713 deals valued at N14.170billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive  as a total of 26 equities gained while 25 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers
Chellaram Plc led other gainers with 10% growth  to close at  N3.85 from its previous price of N3.50

Learn Africa, Consolidated Hallmark Insurance (CHI) and Northern Nigeria Flour Mills (NNFM) Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.97%, 9.52% and 9.49% respectively.

Percentage Losers
ABC Transport Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.78% off its share price to close at N0.83 from its previous close of N0.92

Guinea Insurance, RT Briscoe and Cutix Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 9.38%, 9.09% and 5.56% respectively.

Volume Drivers
UBA Plc traded about 297.710million units of its shares in 1,567 deals, valued at N4.838billion

Sterling Bank Holding Plc traded about 81.869million units of its shares in 80 deals, valued at N310.987million.
