Transaction on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, halted its bullish runs and closed on a negative note. The  All Share Index declined by 0.07% to settle at 68,286.28 from the previous close of 68,334.68. This brings the year-to-date to 31.65%, the month-to-date to 2.59% and the week-to-date to 1.12% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N37.373 Trillion. An aggregate of 378,654,875 units of shares were traded in 7,671 deals valued at N5.483 billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive  as a total of 32 equities gained while 20 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers
Guniea Insurance Plc led other gainers with 10% growth to close at  N0.33 from its previous price of 0.30

Beta Glass, Caverton Offshore and Oando Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.91%, 9.84% and 9.70% respectively.

Percentage Losers
Vita Foam Plc led other price decliners as it shed 10% off its share price to close at N22.50 from its previous close of N25.00
 
Veritas Kapital Assurance, Linkage Assurance and Dangote Sugar Refinery  Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 7.69%, 5.56% and 4.49% respectively.

Volume Drivers
Oando Plc traded about 83.526 million units of its shares in 539 deals, valued at N609.377 million

UBA Plc traded about 35.627 million units of its shares in 299 deals, valued at N533.749 million.

Transcorp Plc traded about 26.657 million units of its shares in 473 deals, valued at N177.694 million
