Transaction on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Thursday July 27, 2023 closed  on a negative note as the  All Share Index  declined by 0.31% to settle at 65,482.91 from the previous close of 65,687.16. This brings the year-to-date to 26.31%, the month-to-date to 7.35% and the week-to-date to 0.75% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N35.635trillion. An aggregate of 509,247,334 units of shares were traded in 8,070 deals valued at N4.796billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as a total of 14 equities gained while 38 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers
Lasaco Assurance Plc led other gainers with 10% growth to close at  N2.09, from its previous price of  N1.90

Multiverse Mining and Exploration, Skyway Aviation Handling Company and RT Briscoe Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.96%, 9.91% and 6.00% respectively.

Percentage Losers
Japaul Gold Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.91% off its share price to close at N1.00 from its previous close of N1.11

Cadbury Nigeria, FTN Cocoa Processors and Neimeth Pharmaceutical Plc were amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 9.80%, 9.40% and 9.34% respectively.

Volume Drivers
Japaul Gold Ventures Plc traded about 115.698million units of its shares in 471 deals, valued at N129.724million

UBA Plc traded about 40.430million units of its shares in 444 deals, valued at N595.919million.

Transcorp Plc traded about 37.499million units of its shares in 352 deals, valued at N133.500million
