Transaction on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Tuesday June 20, 2023 closed on a positive note. The  All Share Index appreciated by 0.16% to settle at 59,110.02 from the previous close of 59,014.85 . This brings the year-to-date to 14.87%, the month-to-date to 5.95% and the week-to-date to a 0.18% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N32.186trillion. An aggregate of 588,804,143 units of shares were traded in 8,272 deals valued at N8.961billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as a total of 50 equities gained while 19 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers
Academy Press, Chams Holding, Guinea Insurance and Skyway Aviation Handling Company Plc led other gainers with 10% growth each to close at N1.98, N0.44, N0.22 and N7.70 from their previous price of N1.80, N0.40, N0.20 and N7.00 respectively

Learn Africa, Unity Bank, and Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.92%, 9.82 and 9.80% respectively.

Percentage Losers
C&I Leasing Plc led other price decliners as it shed 10% off its share prices to close at N4.05 from its previous close of N4.50

Cornerstone Insurance, Secure Electronic Technology and Veritas Kapital Assurance Plc were amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 9.92%, 8.70% and 8.70% respectively.

Volume Drivers
UBA Plc traded about 178.512million units of its shares in 438 deals, valued at N907.474million

Guaranty Trust Holding Plc traded about 65.398million units of its shares in 494 deals, valued at N2.107billion.

Transcorp Plc traded about 33.706million units of its shares in 492 deals, valued at N112.041million
