Investors’ renewed appetite for the shares of highly-capitalised (highcap) companies, especially Airtel Africa lifted the all-share index (ASI) by 0.4 per cent at the close of trading yesterday. World Bank marks down Nigeria’s growth projection to 2.8 per cent – Guardian |
The World Bank, in its June Global Economic Prospects, has marginally marked down Nigeria’s output growth for this year to 2.8 per cent on account of the slower speed seen in the first quarter. The economy is expected to see faster growth of three per cent and 3.1 per cent in 2024 and 2025 respectively.
