Transaction on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Thursday June 1, 2023 closed on a positive note as the  All Share Index appreciated by 0.07% to settle at 55,808.25 from the previous close of 55,769.28. This brings the year-to-date to 8.94%, the month-to-date to 0.07% and the week-to-date to 5.36% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N30.388trillion. An aggregate of 390,219,293 units of shares were traded in 7,725 deals valued at N5.727billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as a total of 30 equities gained while 20 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers
Conoil Plc led other gainers with 9.92% growth to close at  N63.70 from their previous price of N57.95

Sterling Bank Holding, Eterna and Cornerstone Insurance Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.76%, 9.74% and 8.97% respectively.

Percentage Losers
FTN Cocoa Processor Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.88% off its share price to close at N0.73 from its previous close of N0.81

Champion Breweries, Chams Holding and Fidson Healthcare Plc were amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 9.62%, 8.16% and 6.93% respectively.

Volume Drivers
Access Bank Holding Company Plc traded about 51.311million units of its shares in 623 deals, valued at N623.818million.

UBA Plc traded about 46.098million units of its shares in 483 deals, valued at N453.137million

FTN Cocoa Processor Plc traded about 37.317million units of its shares in 206 deals, valued at N29.673million
