Transaction on the floor of the Stock Exchange sustained the bearish run for second day as transaction on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 closed on a negative note. The All Share Index declined by 0.47% to settle at 53,498.27 from the previous close of 53,750.77 . This brings the year-to-date to 3.76%, the month-to-date to a negative 4.22% and the week-to-date to a negative 2.55% respectively. Market Capitalisation closed at N29.15trillion. An aggregate of 202,847,065 units of shares were traded in 2,978 deals valued at N2.052billion. Market Breadth The market breadth closed Positive inspite of the decline in the ASI as a total of 16 equities gained while 9 equities declined in their share prices. The declined in the ASI was as a result of the 4.17% decline in the price of Dangote Cement. Percentage Gainers PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc led other gainers with 9.62% growth to close at N11.40, from its previous price of N10.40. International Energy Insurance, Multiverse Minning and Exploration and FTN Cocoa Processors Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.24%, 8.72% and 7.69% respectively. Percentage Losers Chams Holding Company Plc led other price decliners as it shed 8.00% off its share price to close at N0.23 from its previous close of N0.25. UACN, Dangote Cement and Fidson Healthcare Plc were amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 5.76%, 4.17% and 2.95% respectively. Volume Drivers Transcorp Plc traded about 61.493million units of its shares in 151 deals, valued at N85.307million. Fidelity Bank Plc traded about 26.956million units of its shares in 64 deals, valued at N139.044million Custodian Investment Plc traded about 19.969million units of its shares in 47 deals, valued at N121.803million |
