Transaction on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 closed on a positive note. The  All Share Index appreciated by 0.06% to settle at 54,936.11 from the previous close of 54,904.68. This brings the year-to-date to 6.39%, the month-to-date to a negative 1.59% and the week-to-date to a 0.04% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N29.94trillion. An aggregate of  134,149,988 units of shares were traded in 2,289 deals valued at N1.330billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed Negative as a total of 9 equities gained while 14 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Guaranty Trust Holding Company (GTCO) Plc and Corronation Insurance (Wapic) led other gainers with 2.44% growth each to close at N25.20 and N0.42, from its  previous price of N24.60 and N0.41 respectively

Linkage Assurance, Lasaco Assurance and Transcorp Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 2.22%, 2.04% and 1.56% respectively.

Percentage Losers

NCR Nigeria Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.69% off its share price to close at N2.61 from its previous close of N2.89

FTN Cocoa Processor, Japaul Gold and Cutix Plc were amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 6.90%, 6.67% and 4.95% respectively.

Volume Drivers
Transcorp Plc traded about 28.122Million units of its shares in 64 deals, valued at N35.922million.

UBA Plc traded about 21.231million units of its shares in 137 deals, valued at N107.415million

Courtville Business Solution Plc traded about 19.127million units of its shares in 16 deals, valued at N8.608million
