Transaction on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Friday, March 10, 2023 close on a negative note as the  All Share Index depreciated by 0.05% to settle at 55,794.51 from the previous close of 55,822.14. This brings the year-to-date to 7.90%, the month-to-date to a negative 0.08% and the week-to-date to 1.54% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N30.39trillion. An aggregate of  275,920,274 units of shares were traded in 3,407 deals valued at N8.594billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed Negative as a total of 9 equities gained while 18 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

NCR Nigeria Plc led other gainers with 9.89% growth to close at N2.89, from its  previous price of N2.69

Nigeria Exchange Group, Ardova and Axa Mansard Insurance Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 7.26%, 6.90% and 5.00% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Conoil Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.95% off their share price to close at N38.00 from its previous close of N42.20

Caverton Offshore Support, Champion Breweries and Chams Plc, were amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 9.65%, 8.00% and 7.69% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Transcorp Plc traded about 81.372million units of its shares in 200 deals, valued at N119.907million.
BUA Cement Plc traded about 70.943million units of its shares in 47 deals, valued at N7.046billion.
UBA Plc traded about 13.782million units of its shares in 161 deals, valued at N115.230million
