Transaction on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Thursday, March 9, 2023 close on a positive note as the  All Share Index Appreciated by 0.04% to settle at 55,822.14 from the previous close of 55,795.75. This brings the year-to-date to 7.95%, the month-to-date to a negative 0.03% and the week-to-date to 1.59% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N30.41trillion. An aggregate of  311,473,750 units of shares were traded in 3,531 deals valued at N3.093billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed Negative as a total of 12 equities gained while 18 equities declined in their share prices. The gains in the prices of Dangote Cement Plc pushed the marke to the green

Percentage Gainers

Transcorp Plc led other gainers with 8.66% growth to close at N1.27, from its  previous price of N1.38

Royal Exchange, Champion Breweries and LivingTrust Mortgage Bank Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 5.63%, 4.60% and 4.21% respectively.

Percentage Losers

NCR Nigeria and Conoil Plc led other price decliners as they shed 9.93% off their share price to close at N2.63 and N42.20from the previous close of N2.92 and N46.85 respectively

University Press, Prestige Assurance and Ardova Plc, were amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 9.00%, 8.89% and 8.33% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Transcorp Plc traded about 179.841million units of its shares in 321 deals, valued at N239.244million.

GTCO Plc traded about 41.396million units of its shares in 212 deals, valued at N1.098billion.
Zenith Bank Plc traded about 18.492million units of its shares in 311 deals, valued at N480.368million
