Transactions on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Wednesday closed on a negative note as the All Share Index depreciated by 0.02% to settle at 52,599.65 from the previous close of 53,612.55. This brings the year-to-date to 1.95%, the month-to-date to 1.95% and the week-to-date to 0.48% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N28.650trillion. An aggregate of  119,843,974 units of shares were traded in 3,552 deals valued at N2.690billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 21 equities gained while 16 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Chellarams Plc led other gainers with 10% growth to close at N0.65 from the previous price of N0.50

RT Briscoe, Trepple Gee and  Okomu Oil Palm Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 10%, 10% and 9.80% respectively.

Percentage Losers
Thomas Wyatt NIgeria Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.70% off it share price to close at N1.31  from the previous close of N1.45

Conerstones Insurance, Geregu Power and Honeyflour plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 6.90%,5.90 % and 5.20% respectively.

Volume Drivers
Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc traded about11.258million units of its shares in 29 deals, valued at N3.865million.

Transcorp Plc traded about 8.752million units of its shares in 88 deals, valued at N10.606million.

Geregu Power Plc traded about 8.536million units of its shares in 39 deals, valued at N1.144billion
