Transactions on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Wednesday, closed on a positive note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.28% to settle at 48,988.04 from the previous close of 48,853.54 This brings the year-to-date to 14.54%, the month-to-date to 12.41% and the week-to-date to 2.98% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N26.682trillion. An aggregate of 88,039,186 units of shares were traded in 2,832 deals valued at N1.675billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 16 equities gained while 12 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Red star express Plc  led other gainers with 9.70% growth to close at N2.26 from the previous price of N2.06.

Champ Holding Company, SCOA  and Learn Africa Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.50%, 9.00% and 8.80% respectively.

Percentage Losers
Prestige Assurance Plc led other price decliners as it shed 8.70% off it share price to close at N0.42  from the previous close of N0.46.

Multiverse, Linkage Assurance and Eterna plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 8.50%, 7.00% and 5.70% respectively.

Volume Drivers

GTBank traded about 10.214million units of its shares in 246 deals, valued at N213.647million.

Zenith Bank traded about 9.787million units of its shares in 204 deals, valued at N225.271mllion.

Jaiz Bank traded about 7.911million units of its shares in 45 deals, valued at N7.022million.
