Transactions on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Tuesday, closed on a negative note as the All Share Index depreciated by 0.09% to settle at 48,853.54 from the previous close of 48,899.08 This brings the year-to-date to 14.26%, the month-to-date to 12.13% and the week-to-date to 2.7.% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N26.609trillion. An aggregate of 162.977,718 units of shares were traded in 3,286 deals valued at N3.875billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 12 equities gained while 16 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Cornerstone Insurance Plc  led other gainers with 8.70% growth to close at N0.50 from the previous price of N0.46.

BUA cement, FTN Coco and Zenith bank Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 3.60%, 3.20% and 2.40% respectively.

Percentage Losers
SCOA led other price decliners as it shed 9.30% off it share price to close at N0.78  from the previous close of N0.86.

Champ Holding Company, Jaiz bank and Lasaco Insurance plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 8.70%, 8.40% and 6.70% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Sterling Bank traded about 31.611million units of its shares in 35 deals, valued at N43.025million.

GTBannk traded about 19.208million units of its shares in 313 deals, valued at N403.287mllion.

Champ Holding Company Plc traded about 16.424million units of its shares in 41 deals, valued at N3.505million.
