The NGX Stock Market recorded a slight gain of 0.12%, as the market closed on a bullish note at the end of today’s trading session.

Transactions on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Wednesday, closed on a positive note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.12% to settle at 48.426.49 from the previous close of 48.398.24 This brings the year-to-date to 13.37%, the month-to-date to 11.24% and the week-to-date to 0.81% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N26.377trillion. An aggregate of 146.206units of shares were traded in 2,810 deals valued at N3.357billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 12 equities gained while17 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Thomas Wyatt  led other gainers with 10% growth to close at N0.44 from the previous price of N0.40.

Japaul Gold, Honywell flour, and May Baker Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 7.41%, 6.14% and 5.26% respectively.

Percentage Losers

SCOA Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.38% off it share price to close at N0.87 from the previous close of N0.96..

Unity Bank, Cornerstone Insurance and Courtville Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 7.02%, 6.25% and 6.00% respectively.

Volume Drivers

First Bank Plc traded about 59.272million units of its shares in 68 deals, valued at N639.974million.

Geregu Plc traded about 14.276million units of its shares in 55 deals, valued at N1.535billion.

Zenith Bank traded about 12.510million units of its shares in 309 deals, valued at N275.686million.
