Transactions on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Monday, closed on a negative note as the All Share Index depreciated by 0.25% to settle at 47,436.45 from the previous close of 47,554.34. This brings the year-to-date to 10.63%, the month-to-date to 8.36% and the week-to-date to 6.43% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N25.837trillion. An aggregate of 279,282,802 units of shares were traded in 3,781 deals valued at N1.563billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 15 equities gained while 17 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Prestige Assurance led other gainers with 9.30% growth to close at N0.47 from the previous price of N0.43.

NEM Insurance Plc, Courtville and Thomas Wyatt Nigeria Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.20%, 8.70% and 8.30% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Betaglas led other price decliners as it shed 9.9% off it share price to close at N39.6 from the previous close of N43.95.

Mcnichols, Scoa and Jaizbank amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 9.70%, 9.40% and 6.80% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Regalins traded about 97.634million units of its shares in 6 deals, valued at N23.433million.

Jaizbank traded about 65.420million units of its shares in 162 deals, valued at N53.673billion.

UBA raded about 22.925million units of its shares in 162 deals, valued at N167.354million.
