The NGX Stock Market All Share Index closed in the green zone at the end of today’s trading session as 21 companies gained while the equities of 24 companies  depreciated in price.

Transactions on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Wednesday, closed on a positive note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.55% to settle at  44.050.44 from the previous close of 43.808.25. This brings the year-to-date to 3.12%, the month-to-date to 2.01% and the week-to-date to 0.19% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N23.991trillion. An aggregate of 159.438 units of shares were traded in 3,039 deals valued at N2.861billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 21 equities gained while 24 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Cornerstone Insurance Plc led other gainers with 10% growth to close at N0.44 from the previous price of N0.40.

MRS, Zenith Bank, and GTCO Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.73%, 8.46% and 6.63% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Eterna Plc led other price decliners as it shed 10% off its share price to close at N5.67 from the previous close of N6.30.

Guinness, SCOA and Sunu Assurance Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 9.98%, 9.49% and 9.38% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Fidelity Bank Plc traded about 27.948million units of its shares in 110 deals, valued at N114.001billion.

GTCO Plc traded about 20.824million units of its shares in  329 deals, valued at N388.067million.

Zenith Bank  Plc traded about 14.014units of its shares in 254 deals, valued at N297.276million.
