The Stock market ASI recorded a slight gain of 0.04% at the end of today’s trading session as the share price of twelve companies gained while eleven companies depreciated in price

Transactions on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Wednesday, closed on a positive note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.04% to settle at  43.477.48 from the previous close of 43.461.60. This brings the year-to-date to 1.78%, the month-to-date to 0.87% and the week-to-date to -1.78% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N23.672trillion. An aggregate of 133.405 units of shares were traded in 3,078 deals valued at N1.811billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 12 equities gained while 11 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Unity Bank Plc led other gainers with 9.09% growth to close at N0.48 from the previous price of N0.44.

Linkage Assurance, Royal Exchange and Chams Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 7.69%, 7.32% and 4.35% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Honeywell Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.09% off its share price to close at N2.00 from the previous close of N2.20.

Prestige Insurance, Presco and Jaiz Bank Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 8.70%, 6.15% and 6.00% respectively.

Volume Drivers

First Bank Plc traded about 30.381million units of its shares in 113 deals, valued at N303.740billion.

Oando Plc traded about 16.770million units of its shares in 68 deals, valued at N64.167million.

Zenith Bank  Plc traded about 13.473units of its shares in 265 deals, valued at N13.473million.
