The Stock market ASI recorded a marginal loss of 0.03% at the end of today’s trading session as the share price of 14 companies gained while 17 companies depreciated in price

Transactions on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Tuesday, closed on a negative note as the All Share Index depreciated by 0.03% to settle at  49.163.81 from the previous close of 49.189.32. This brings the year-to-date to 15.12%, the month-to-date to -0.98% and the week-to-date to 0.42% respectively.

Investors lost N13billion as Market Capitalisation depreciated by 0.03% to close at N26.519trillion from the previous close of N26.532. An aggregate of 139.240 units of shares were traded in 3,421 deals valued at N1,605Million.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 14 equities gained while 17 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Multiverse Plc led other gainers with 10% growth to close at N3.41 from the previous close of N3.10.
NGX Group Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 10%, 9.91% and 8.89% respectively.

Percentage Losers

May and Baker Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.79% off its share price to close at N3.50 from the previous close of N3.88.
Regency Insurance, Vitafoam, and Unliver Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 7.69%, 6.98% and 5.38% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Transcorp Plc traded about 38.462million units of its shares in 113 deals, valued at N38.274million.

Zenith Bank Plc traded about 35.274million units of its shares in 385 deals, valued at N710.833million.

FCMB Plc traded about 30.185million units of its shares in 74 deals, valued at N105.610million.
