The Stock market ASI recorded a slight gain of 0.11% at the end of today’s trading session as the share price of twenty companies recorded gains while nine companies depreciated in price.

Transactions on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Thursday, closed on a positive as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.11% to settle at  49.652.25 points from the previous close of 49.635.76 points, bringing the year-to-date to 16.24%, the month-to-date to -0.22% and the week-to-date to -0.71% respectively.

Investors gained N29billion as market capitalisation appreciated by 0.11% to close at N26.782trillion from the previous close of N26.753trillion. An aggregate of 161.882 units of shares were traded in 3,541 deals valued at N1.626billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 20 equities gained while 9 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

E-Tranzact Plc led other gainers with 9.81% growth to close at N2.91 from the previous close of N2.65.
Ardova, Chams and FTN Cocoa Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 8.94%, 7.41% and 7.14% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Vitafoam Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.96% off its share price to close at N21.25 from the previous close of N23.60.
Multiverse, Champion Brewery and Afriprud Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 9.92%, 4.16% and 3.51% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Transport Plc traded about 30.967million units of its shares in 91 deals, valued at N34.445million.

Fidelity Bank Plc traded about 28.707million units of its shares in 205 deals, valued at N101.715million.

Sterling Bank Plc traded about 19.815million units of its shares in 409 deals, valued at N29.118million.
