The Stock market ASI recorded a slight loss of 0.05% at the end of today’s trading session as the share price of 9 companies gained while 19 companies depreciated in price

Transactions on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Monday, closed on a negative note as the All Share Index depreciated by 0.05% to settle at  49,346.40 points from the previous close of 49,370.62 points, bringing the year-to-date to 15.52%, the month-to-date to -1.95% and the week-to-date to -0.05% respectively.

Investors lost N14billion as market capitalisation depreciated by 0.05% to close at N26.615trillion from the previous close of N26.629trillion. An aggregate of 122.736 units of shares were traded in 3,915 deals valued at N1.301billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 9 equities gained while 19 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Courtville Plc led other gainers with 9.09% growth to close at N0.48 from the previous close of N0.44.
Honeywell Flour, Mutual Benefits and Nem Insurance Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 8.68%, 8.00% and 4.71% respectively.

Percentage Losers

FTN Cocoa Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.09% off its share price to close at N0.30 from the previous close of N0.33.
Lasaco Insurance, Wapic Insurance and ETI Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 8.65%, 7.32% and 5.66% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Mutual Benefits Insurance Plc traded about 18,428million units of its shares in 52 deals, valued at N4,975million.

Transcorp Plc traded about 9.231million units of its shares in 101 deals, valued at N9.718million.

GTCO Plc traded about 8,576million units of its shares in 280 deals, valued at N173.741million.
