The stock market ASI recorded a slight loss of 0.01% at the end of today’s trading session as 12 companies gained while the equities of 17 companies depreciated in price.

Transactions on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Monday, closed on a negative note as the All Share Index depreciated by 0.01% to settle at  49,657.33 points from the previous close of 49,664.07 points, bringing the year-to-date to 16.25%, the month-to-date to -1.38% and the week-to-date to -0.01% respectively.

Investors lost N18billion as market capitalisation depreciated by 0.01% to close at N26.769trillion from the previous close of N26.787trillion. An aggregate of 210.836 units of shares were traded in 4,122 deals valued at N2.188billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 12 equities gained while 17 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Neimeth Plc led other gainers with 9.29% growth to close at N1.53 from the previous close of N1.40.
Unity Bank, FCMB, Zenith Bank Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 4.65%, 4.18% and 2.12% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Presco Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.97% off its share price to close at N142.60 from the previous close of N158.40.
Multiverse, Ikeja Hotel and Dangote Sugar Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 7.79%, 5.51% and 4.19% respectively.

Volume Drivers

E-tranzact Plc traded about 52.552million units of its shares in 11 deals, valued at N176.855million.

First Bank Plc traded about 23.082million units of its shares in 144 deals, valued at N249.782million.

UBA Plc traded about 21.897million units of its shares in 158 deals, valued at N153.480million.
