The Stock Market closed on a bearish note as the Market Capitalization dropped by N125billion at the end of today’s trading session.

Transactions on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Monday, closed on a negative note as the All Share Index depreciated by 0.46% to settle at  50,489.73points from the previous close of 50.722.33 points, bringing the year-to-date to 18.20%, the month-to-date to 0.25% and the week-to-date to 0.46% respectively.

Investors lost N125billion as market capitalization depreciated by 0.46% to close at N27.233trillion from the previous close of N27.358trillion. An aggregate of 207.196million units of shares were traded in 4,234 deals valued at N2.119billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 10 equities gained while 15 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Japaul Gold Plc led other gainers with 8.82% growth to close at N0.37 from the previous close of N0.34.
Honeywell Flour, Cornerstone Insurance and Lasaco Insurance Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 5.73%, 5.63% and 5.38% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Unilever Plc led other price decliners as it shed 10% off its share price to close at N0.36 from the previous close of N0.40.
IMG, Sky Aviation and Ellah Lakes Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 9.84%, 9.60% and 9.60% respectively.

Volume Drivers

FBNH Plc traded about 74.629million units of its shares in  209 deals, valued at N820.153million.

Multiverse Plc traded about 20.495million units of its shares in 14 deals, valued at N38.530million.

Access Corp Plc traded about 12.348million units of its shares in 190 deals, valued at N111.164million.
