Transactions on the floor of the Exchange on Friday, closed on a negative note as the All Share Index depreciated by 0.01% to settle at 51.557.41 points, from the previous close of 51,563.73 points, bringing the year-to-date to 20.68%, the month-to-date to -0.08% and the week-to-date to -0.53% respectively.
Investors lost N4billion as market capitalisation depreciated by 0.01% to close at N27.803trillion from the previous close of N27.807trillion. An aggregate of 115.130million units of shares were traded in 3,479 deals valued at N1,779billion.
Market Breadth:
The market breadth closed positive as 13 equities gained while 12 equities declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers:
Caverton Plc led other gainers with 9.91% growth to close at N1.22 from the previous close of N1.11.
Academy, Neimeth and Courtville Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.88%, 9.40% and 6.52% respectively.
Percentage Losers:
NAHCO Plc led other price decliners as it shed 7.31% off its share price to close at N8.62 from the previous close of N9.30.
Cornerstone, Consolidated Hallmark Insurance and Japaul Gold Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 5.48%, 4.00% and 3.57% respectively
Volume Drivers:
GTCO Plc traded about 17.855million units of its shares in 425 deals, valued at N364.387Million.
UBA Plc traded about 14.332million units of its shares in 147 deals, valued at N107.787billion.
Zenith Bank Bank Plc traded about 8.357million units of its shares in 293 deals, valued at N183.622million.
