Transactions on the floor of the Exchange on Thursday, closed on a positive note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.01% to settle at 51,563.73 points, from the previous close of 51,556.54 points, bringing the year-to-date to 20.73%, the month-to-date to -0.07% and the week-to-date to -0.52% respectively.
Investors gained N12billion as market capitalisation appreciated by 0.01% to close at N27.807trillion from the previous close of N27.795trillion. An aggregate of 143.288million units of shares were traded in 3,874 deals valued at N1,756billion.
Market Breadth:
The market breadth closed positive as 15 equities gained while 10 equities declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers:
Academy Plc led other gainers with 9.55% growth to close at N1.72 from the previous close of N1.57.
NAHCO, FTN Cocoa, and Honeywell Flour Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.41%, 9.38% and 8.39% respectively.
Percentage Losers:
R.T Briscoe Plc led other price decliners as it shed 8.11% off its share price to close at N0.34 from the previous close of N0.37.
UPDC, Regency Insurance and Japaul Gold Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 7.87%, 7.41% and 3.45% respectively
Volume Drivers:
Jaiz Bank Plc traded about 42.104million units of its shares in 68 deals, valued at N36.608Million.
GTCO Plc traded about 19.450million units of its shares in 551 deals, valued at N396.760billion.
Sterling Bank Plc traded about 9.414million units of its shares in 78 deals, valued at N14.080million
