Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) on Monday, closed on a positive note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.34% to settle at 52,908.24 points, from the previous close of 52,908.24 points, bringing the year-to-date to 24.28%, the month-to-date to 7.97% and the week-to-date to 0.34% respectively.
Investors gained N96billion as market capitalisation appreciated by 0.34% to close at N28.619trillion from the previous close of N28.523trillion. An aggregate of 755.623Billion units of shares were traded in 4,297 deals valued at N8,902Billion.
Market Breadth:
The market breadth closed positive as 19 equities gained while 13 equities declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers:
Conoil Plc led other gainers with 9.97% growth to close at N32 from the previous close of N29.10.
Pharmadeko, Learn Africa and FTN Cocoa Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.38%, 8.72% and 5.88% respectively.
Percentage Losers:
Japaul Gold Plc led other price decliners as it shed 6.25% off its share price to close at N0.30 from the previous close of N0.32.
ABC Transport, Unilever, and Aiico Insurance Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 6.06%, 3.01% and 2.94% respectively.
Volume Drivers:
First Bank Plc traded about 610.413mIllion units of its shares in 163 deals, valued at N6.776Billion.
Flourmill Plc traded about 22.966million units of its shares in 121 deals, valued at N803.915million.
Wapic Insurance Plc traded about 21.604million units of its shares in 52 deals, valued at N8.794million.
