Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Tuesday closed on a negative note as the All Share Index depreciated by 0.19% to settle at 47,340.86 points, from the previous close of 47.428.67 points, bringing the year-to-date to 0.17%%, the month-to-date to -0.42% and the week-to-date to -0.21% respectively.
Investors lost N47Billion as market capitalisation depreciated by 0.19% to close at N25.514trillion from the previous close of N25.561trillion. An aggregate of 183,256Million units of shares were traded in 3,779 deals valued at N2,475Billion Market Breadth: The market breadth closed flat as 15 equities gained and 15 equities declined in their share prices. Percentage Gainers: Veritas Kapital Plc led other gainers with 4.76% growth to close at N0.22 from the previous close of N0.21. Chams, Eterna oil, Unilever Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 4.55%, 4.17% and 3.85% respectively. Percentage Losers: Cornerstone Plc led other price decliners as it shed 8.82% off its share price to close at N0.62 from the previous close of N0.68. Multiverse, SCOA and Prestige Insurance Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 8.83%, 7.69% and 6.12% respectively. Volume Drivers: UBA Plc traded about 23.412mIllion units of its shares in 279 deals, valued at N200.203Million. Access Bank Plc traded about 10.434million units of its shares 158 deals, valued at N108.914Million. First Bank Plc traded about 10.167million units of its shares in 145 deals, valued at N117.631Million. |
