Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Thursday closed on a negative note as the All Share Index depreciated by 0.14% to settle at 47,296.07 points, from the previous close of 47.360.79 points, bringing the year-to-date to 0.26%, the month-to-date to -0.21% and the week-to-date to -0.07% respectively.
Investors lost N35Billion as market capitalisation depreciated by 0.14% to close at N25.490trillion from the previous close of N25.525trillion. An aggregate of 243.437Million units of shares were traded in deals valued at N6.875Billion.
Market Breadth:
The market breadth closed negative as 12 equities gained while 34 equities declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers:
ABC Transport Plc led other gainers with 9.38% growth to close at N0.35 from the previous close of N0.32.
Lasaco, Jaiz Bank and Africa Prudential Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 7.62%, 5.71% and 3.85% respectively.
Percentage Losers:
CAP Plc led other price decliners as it shed 10% off its share price to close at N17.55 from the previous close of N19.50.
RT Briscoe, NGX Group and Redstar Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 10%, 9.96% and 9.78% respectively.
Volume Drivers:
Transcorp Plc traded about 28,223million units of its shares in 167 deals, valued at N30.242Million.
MTN Plc traded about 22,735million units of its shares 371 deals, valued at N4.653Billion.
NGX Group Plc traded about 22.129million units of its shares in 297 deals, valued at N463.076Million.
