Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Thursday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.14% to settle at 47,272.04 points, from the previous close of 47.207.27 points, bringing the year-to-date to 0.21%, the month-to-date to 1.76% and the week-to-date to 0.36% respectively.
Investors gained N35Billion as market capitalisation appreciated by 0.14% to close at N25.477trillion from the previous close of N25.442trillion. An aggregate of 340,671Million units of shares were traded in 5,383 deals valued at N3,858Billion.
Market Breadth:
The market breadth closed positive as 25 equities gained while 18 equities declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers:
E-Transact Plc led other gainers with 10% growth to close at N2.42 from the previous close of N2.20.
Learn Africa, SCOA, Royal Exchange Insurance Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.92%, 9.69% and 9.62% respectively.
Percentage Losers:
Multiverse Plc led other price decliners as it shed 8% off its share price to close at N0.23 from the previous close of N0.25.
Japaul Gold, International Brewery and Chams Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 5%, 4.55% and 4.35% respectively.
Volume Drivers:
Custodian Insurance Plc traded about 39.167million units of its shares in 11 deals, valued at N282.066Million.
Sterling Bank Plc traded about 33.354million units of its shares 347 deals, valued at N53.775Million.
