Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Tuesday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.73% to settle at  43.026.23 points, from the previous close of 42,716.44 points, bringing the year-to-date to 0.73%, the month-to-date to 0.73% and the week-to-date to 0.73% respectively.

Investors gained N88Billion as Market Capitalization appreciated by 0.73%  to close at N23.184trillion from the previous close of N22.996trillion. An aggregate of 216.651million units of shares were traded in 4,080 deals, valued at N1.516Billion.

Market Breadth:

The market breadth closed negative as 18 equities gained  while 27 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers:

Academy Plc led other gainers with 10% growth to close at N0.55 from the previous close of N0.50.

Wema Bank, Cornerstone Insurance, and Neimeth Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.72%, 8.70% and 8.00% respectively.

Percentage Losers:

Ardova Plc led other price decliners as it shed 10% off its share price to close at N11.70 from the previous close of N13.

NNFM, Vitafoam and Chams Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 10%, 10% and  9.09%  respectively.

Volume Drivers:

Chams Plc traded about 29.865million units of its shares in 31 deals, valued at N6.080Mmillion.

Wema Bank Plc traded about 17.111million units of its shares in 60 deals, valued at N13.308Million.

Zenith Bank Plc traded about 11.035million units of its shares in 321 deals, valued at N278.219Million.
