Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Wednesday closed on a negative note as the All Share Index depreciated by 0.02% to settle at 43,245.02 points, from the previous close of 43,255.14points, bringing the year-to-date to 7.46%, the month-to-date to 11.66% and the week-to-date to 0.11% respectively.
Investors lost 0.012billion as Market Capitalization depreciated by 0.02% to close at N22.565 trillion from the previous close of N22.577 trillion. An aggregate of 243.174 billion units of shares were traded in 3,681 deals, valued at N3.746 billion.
The market breadth closed positive as 22 equities gained while 18 equities declined in their share prices.
Chams Plc led other gainers with 9.52% growth to close at N0.23 from the previous close of N0.21
AIICO, Ikeja Hotel and NGX amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.26%, 8.70% and 7.84% respectively.
HonyFlour Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.78% off its share price to close at N3.69 from the previous close of N4.09.
Eterna, Regalins and CornerStone Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 9.02%, 7.69% and 7.14% respectively.
Zenith Plc traded about 37.408million units of its shares in 352 deals, valued at N908.424Million.
FCMB Plc traded about 27.411million units of its shares in 90 deals, valued at N88.579Million.
Honyflour Plc traded about 22.855million units of its shares in 262 deals, valued at N87.590Million.
