Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Tuesday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.52% to settle at 43,444.20points, from the previous close of 43,230.34points, bringing the year-to-date to 7.94%, the month-to-date to 11.33% and the week-to-date to 0.47% respectively.
Investors gained 112Billion as Market Capitalization appreciated by 0.52% to close at N22.672trillion from the previous close of N22.560trillion. An aggregate of 423,834million units of shares were traded in 4,181 deals, valued at N11.650Bllion.
Market Breadth:
The market breadth closed flat as 18 equities gained and 18 equities declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers:
Cutix Plc led other gainers with 8.33% growth to close at N3.30 from the previous close of N3.00.
Cornerstone, Consolidated Hallmark Insurance, Royal Exchange Assurance Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 7.69%, 6.90% and 6% respectively.
Percentage Losers:
Total Nig. Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.97% off its share price to close at N216.80 from the previous close of N240.80
Mutual Benefit Insurance, Linkage Insurance and Cham Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 6.90%, 5.36% and 4.35% respectively.
