Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Friday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.23% to settle at 38,962.28 points, from the previous close of 38,874.13 points, bringing the year-to-date to -0.98, the month-to-date to 0.87% and the week-to-date to 0.17% respectively.

Investors gained N46billion as Market Capitalization appreciated by 0.23% to close at N20.300trillion from the previous close of N20.254trillion. An aggregate of 633.520million units of shares were traded in 3,228 deals, valued at N6.449billion.

Market Breadth:

The market breadth closed positive as 25 equities gained while 11 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers:

Pharmadeko Plc led other gainers with 9.74% growth to close at N2.14 from the previous close of N1.95.

Sovereign Insurance, Okomu Oil, and Eterna Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 8.70%, 5.77% and 4.95% respectively.

Percentage Losers:

SCOA  Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.37% off its share price to close at N0.87 from the previous close of N0.96

Presco, Regency Assurance and Total Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 8.18%, 6.38% and 3.61%  respectively.

Volume Drivers:

First Bank Plc traded about 481,509million units of its shares in 122 deals, valued at N3.611Billion.

ETI Plc traded about 16.593million units of its shares in 25 deals, valued at N87.810million.

Zenith Bank Plc traded about 12.020million units of its shares in 275 deals, valued at N278.994Million.
