Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Thursday closed on a negative note as the All Share Index depreciated by 0.01% to settle at 39,201.33 points, from the previous close of 39,204.52 points, bringing the year-to-date to -0.46, the month-to-date to 1.85% and the week-to-date to -0.13% respectively.
Investors lost N1billion as Market Capitalization depreciated by 0.01% to close at N20.425trillion from the previous close of N20.426trillion. An aggregate of 350.528million units of shares were traded in 3,523 deals, valued at N3.347billion.
The market breadth closed negative as 9 equities gained while 21 equities declined in their share prices.
Chams Plc led other gainers with 4.76% growth to close at N0.22 from the previous close of N0.21.
Cutix, Oando and Nigerian Brewery Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 4.60%, 3.08% and 1.25% respectively.
Cornerstone Insurance Plc led other price decliners as it shed 7.69% off its share price to close at N0.48 from the previous close of N0.52.
Aiico Insurance, Learn Africa and Livestock Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 6.86%, 5.56% and 5.45% respectively.
First Bank Plc traded about 97.728million units of its shares in 111 deals, valued at N729.641million.
Wema Plc traded about 47.750million units of its shares in 291 deals, valued at N58.482million.
Access Bank Plc traded about 74.856million units of its shares in 85 deals, valued at N58.482Million.
