Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Friday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.02% to settle at 39,261.01 points, from the previous close of 39,252.19 points, bringing the year-to-date to -0.31, the month-to-date to 2% and the week-to-date to -0.21% respectively.
Investors gained N5billion as Market Capitalization appreciated by 0.02% to close at N20.456trillion from the previous close of N20.451trillion. An aggregate of 180.304million units of shares were traded in 3,158 deals, valued at N1.724billion.
Market Breadth:
The market breadth closed negative as 13 equities gained while 15 equities declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers:
Neimeth Plc led other gainers with 7.57% growth to close at N1.99 from the previous close of N1.99.
Transcorp, UPDC and Sovereign Insurance Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 5.62%, 4.68% and 4% respectively.
Percentage Losers:
Mutual Benefir Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.68% off its share price to close at N0.28 from the previous close of N0.31.
FTN Cocoa, NPF Micro Finance and Honeywell Flour Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 8.16%, 7.89% and 5.13% respectively.
Volume Drivers:
Transcorp Plc traded about 20.525million units of its shares in 112 deals, valued at N18.691million.
Access Bank Plc traded about 18.528million units of its shares in 286 deals, valued at N170.476Million.
Unity Bank Plc traded about 15.290million units of its shares in 55 deals, valued at N7.879million.
