Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Tuesday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.07% to settle at 39,460.68 points, from the previous close of 39,434.69 points, bringing the year-to-date to flat, the month-to-date to 2.19% and the week-to-date to -0.05% respectively.
Investors gained N13billion as Market Capitalization appreciated by 0.07% to close at N20.559trillion from the previous close of N20.546trillion. An aggregate of 196,808million units of shares were traded in 3,881 deals, valued at N2.559billion.
The market breadth closed positive as 18 equities gained while 17 equities declined in their share prices.
Morison Plc led other gainers with 10% growth to close at N1.54 from the previous close of N1.40.
Regency Assurance, Tripple G and Chi Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.52%, 9.09% and 8.51% respectively.
FTN Cocoa Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.09% off its share price to close at N0.40 from the previous close of N0.44.
Courtville, Sovereign Insurance and FCMB Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 8.82%, 8% and 6.55% respectively.
Courtville Plc traded about 22.446million units of its shares in 105 deals, valued at N7.335million.
Sovereign Insurance Plc traded about 21.313million units of its shares in 45 deals, valued at N5.074Million
Wema Bank Plc traded about 16.943million units of its shares in 110 deals, valued at N14.594million.
