Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Monday closed on a negative note as the All Share Index depreciated by 0.12% to settle at 39,434.69 points, from the previous close of 39,483.08 points, bringing the year-to-date to -0.07%, the month-to-date to 2.12% and the week-to-date to -0.12% respectively.
Investors lost N25billion as Market Capitalization depreciated by 0.12% to close at N20.546trillion from the previous close of N20.571trillion. An aggregate of 211.326million units of shares were traded in 3,939 deals, valued at N2.029billion.
Market Breadth:
The market breadth closed positive as 21 equities gained while 11 equities declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers:
FTN Cocoa Plc led other gainers with 10% growth to close at N0.44 from the previous close of N0.40.
Pharamdeko, Transcorp and Courtville Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.88%, 9.69% and 9.30% respectively.
Percentage Losers:
PZ Plc led other price decliners as it shed 4.17% off its share price to close at N5.75 from the previous close of N6.
UBN, Eterna and FCMB Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 3.81%, 2.36% and 2.27% respectively.
Volume Drivers:
Chams Plc traded about 47.952million units of its shares in 71 deals, valued at N10.572million.
Guaranty Trust Bank Plc traded about 20.935million units of its shares in 294 deals, valued at N586.123Million
Honeywell Plc traded about 14.553million units of its shares in 246 deals, valued at N45.128million.
