Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Wednesday closed on a negative note as the All Share Index depreciated by 0.01% to settle at 39,545.67 points, from the previous close of 39,550.36 points, bringing the year-to-date to 0.20%,the month-to-date to 2.39% and the week-to-date to 0.06% respectively.
Investors lost N2billion as Market Capitalization depreciated by 0.01% to close at N20.604trillion from the previous close of N20.606trillion. An aggregate of 132.077million units of shares were traded in 3,307 deals, valued at N2.674billion.
The market breadth closed positive as 19 equities gained while 16 equities declined in their share prices.
Pharmadeko Plc led other gainers with 10% growth to close at N1.43 from the previous close of N1.30
BOC Gas, Honeywell and Courtville Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.78%, 9.72% and 8% respectively.
SCOA Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.66% off its share price to close at N1.59 from the previous close of N1.76.
Prestige Insurance, Regency Assurance and Mutual Benefit Insurance amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 8.33%, 6.98% and 5.71% respectively.
Transcorp Plc traded about 14.145million units of its shares in 86 deals, valued at N13.529million.
Chams Plc traded about 14.068million units of its shares in 56 deals, valued at N2.914milion
Zenithbank Plc traded about 8.514million units of its shares in 264 deals, valued at N206.228million.
