The Equities market maintained a bullish trend in today’s trading session as the  NSE benchmark appreciated by 0.47% to close at 25,418.08bps, while  market capitalization closed at N8.80 trillion at the end of trading.  Contributory to this lift, is the banking sector ( GUARANTY, ZENITHBANK & UBA amongst others) index, which recorded 1.78% gain.

Also, market breadth remained strong as 18 gainers led by PORTPAINT (+4.47%) over 14 losers led by 7UP (-9.64%)   was recorded on the chart today.

Total volume traded was 280 million shares, valued at N2.35billion and traded in 2,468 deals. The highest traded Equities in  volume and value were CUSTODYINS (80,342,325) and GUARANTY (N482,691,666.07) respectively.

The Industrial goods index was the only loser (-0.15%) out of the five key sectoral indices’ in today’s trading session.
