On the Nigeria bourse, gains recorded previously on the Equities market could not be sustained as investors partake actively in profit-taking, hence, the NSE benchmark index shedding a 0.57% to end today’s trading session which closed at 24,986.02bps, while  market capitalization closed at N8.65 trillion. 

Also, market breadth was weak as 16 losers led by ETERNA (-9.45%) over 10 gainers led by UNILEVER (+5.00%) was recorded on the chart today.

Total volume traded was 218 million shares, valued at N3.90billion and traded in 3,191 deals. The highest traded Equities in  volume and value were STANBIC (29,013,356) and GUINNESS (N657,510,866.98) respectively.

The Consumer goods index was the only gainer (+3.01%) while the Insurance index closed neutral, out of the five key sectoral indices’ in today’s trading session.
