The Equities market returned to its negative territory in today’s trading session as the NSE ASI shed -0.30% to end trading. It  closed at 25,055.29bps, while  market capitalization closed at N8.67 trillion. 

Market breadth was even as 17 gainers led by JBERGER (+5.00%) over 17 losers led by UACN (-4.55%) – ( this was as a result of its 2016 full year profit warning as released on the NSE site today.) was recorded on the chart today.

Total volume traded was 144 million shares, valued at N1.54billion and traded in 2,303 deals. The highest traded Equities in  volume and value were UBA (30,380,772) and GUARANTY (N566,733,939.87) respectively.

The Banking, Oil & Gas indices were the only gainers while the Industrial goods index closed indifferent, out of the five key sectoral indices’ in today’s trading session.
