At the close of the market today, the Equity Market ended trading session with an aggregate of 27,385.69 to produce a further loss of 0.84% (compared to 27,617.45 and 0.29% loss recorded last week Friday). 

The market breadth (No of Gainers/No of Losers) moderately declined compared to last week Friday’s (0.57x vs. 0.76x) as pessimistic activities dominated bargain hunting  activities: 21 Gainers were recorded against 37 Losers in the trading chart.

The top 5 Gainers were BETAGLAS (+2.42), TOTAL (+2.07), GLAXOSMITH (+0.93), NASCON (+0.23) and OANDO (+0.23). The top 5 Losers were FO (-13.77), SEPLAT (-5.10), MOBIL (-3.99), GUINNESS (-2.00) and UNILEVER (-1.84).

5 most actively traded stocks were FBNH, GUARANTY, ZENITH, UBA and NB.

In terms of VOLUME, FBNH, DIAMOND, ACCESS, UBA and ZENITH topped the list of equities on the trading chart.

Furthermore, within the Nigerian All Share Index, Insurance index posted the strongest gain of 0.32%, while the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods, Banking and Industrial indices posted losses of 2.76%, 0.85%, 0.67% and 0.22%.
