At the close of the market today, the Equity Market ended trading session with an aggregate of 27,617.45   to produce a loss of 0.29%  (compared to 27,697.12 and 0.17% loss recorded yesterday). 

The market breadth (No of Gainers/No of Losers) moderately declined compared to yesterday (0.76x vs. 1.2x) as pessimistic activities dominated bargain activities: 16 Gainers were recorded against 21 Losers in the trading chart.

The top 5 Gainers were NB (+3.00), UNILEVER (+1.90), FBNH (+0.45), IKEJAHOTEL (+0.16) and ETRANZACT (+0.10). The top 5 Losers were GUINNESS (-3.00), DANGCEM (-1.99), GUARANTY (-0.45), UACN (-0.45) and STANBIC (-0.30).

5 most actively traded stocks were FBNH, ZENITH, GUARANTY, OANDO and UBA.

In terms of VOLUME, FBNH, UBA, CONTINSURE, ZENITH and DIAMOND topped the list of equities on the trading chart.

Furthermore, within the Nigerian All Share Index, the Consumer Goods index posted the strongest gain of 1.02%, followed by the Insurance index with a gain of 0.28%, while the Banking, Industrial and Oil & Gas indices posted losses of 1.28%, 0.63% and 0.53%.
