At the close of the market today, the Equity Market ended trading session with an aggregate of 27,697.12  to produce a loss of 0.17%  (compared to 27,743.92 and 0.53% gain recorded yesterday). 

The market breadth (No of Gainers/No of Losers) considerably improved compared to yesterday (1.2x vs. 0.60x). 24 Gainers were recorded against 20 Losers in the trading chart.

The top 5 Gainers were GUINNESS (+6.00), NESTLE (+2.00), UNILEVER (+0.98), OKOMUOIL (+0.67) and NB (+0.30). The top 5 Losers were MOBIL (-2.05), GUARANTY(-0.99), UACN (-0.55), STANBIC (-0.50) and ZENITH (-0.29).

5 most actively traded stocks were ZENITH, FBNH, GUARANTY, OANDO  and NB. 

In terms of VOLUME, ZENITH, GUARANTY, FBNH, CONTINSURE and TRANSCORP topped the list of equities on the trading chart.

Furthermore, within the Nigerian All Share Index, the Consumer Goods recorded the strongest gain of 0.72%, followed by the Insurance, Oil & Gas and Industrial indices with gains of 0.49%, 0.16% and 0.04%, while the Banking Index posted a loss of 1.53%.
