At the close of the market today, the Equity Market closed with an aggregate of 28,351.28 to produce a loss of 0.64% (compared to 28,532.81 and 1.07% loss recorded yesterday). 

The market breadth (No of Gainers/No of Losers) improved significantly compared to yesterday (0.58x vs. 0.40x). 14 Gainers were recorded against 24 Losers in the trading chart.

The top 5 Gainers were 7UP (+1.98), INTBREW (+0.30), DANGSUGAR (+0.20), PORTPAINT (+0.17)  and LIVESTOCK (+0.07). The top 5 Losers were GUINNESS (-6.74), SEPLAT (-4.00), NIGERIAN BREWERIES (-2.55), PZ (-1.00) and UAC-PROP (-0.70).

5 most actively traded stocks were FBNH (316), GUARANTY (301), ZENITH (175), ACCESS (167) and OANDO (163).

In terms of VOLUME, GUARANTY, ACCESS, FBNH, TRANSCORP and UBA topped the list of equities traded in the market. 

Furthermore, within the Nigerian All Share Index, the Consumer Goods index posted the strongest loss of 1.28%, followed by the Oil & Gas, Insurance, Banking and Industrial indices with losses of 0.88%, 0.51%, 0.18% and 0.01%
