From NSE Data, bearish sentiments continued in today’s trading session Wednesday, October 14, 2015 as investors adopted a cautious approach to trading leading the NSE benchmark index to shed -1.30% to close at 29,668.16 basis points.
The decrease took the week–to–date, the month–to–date and the year-to-date market returns to deeper losses of -1.65%, -4.96% and -14.40% respectively.
TRANSCORP, ETI and UBA were the most active stocks boosting market turnover in the bourse despite the loss .
Market breadth remained negative as 28 losers over 19 gainers were recorded.
Volume traded increased by 29.27% to 160.61 billion shares, valued at N1.65 billion and traded in 3,267 deals. The highest gainer recorded was OKOMUOIL with an 10.20% gain in its price, while UNITYBNK on the other hand was the highest loser with -8.98% loss in its price.
Also, four out of the key five sectoral indices was affected in today’s reversals.
