From NSE Data, the equity market extended a 3-days losing streak contributed by profit- taking activities, as the NSE benchmark index sheds -0.25% to end today’s trading session Tuesday, 06 October 2015 which closed at 30,330.58 basis points.
The decrease took the week–to–date, the month–to–date and the year-to-date market returns to deeper losses of -0.84%, -2.84% and -12.48% respectively.
ACCESS, DANGCEM and WAPIC were the most active stocks boosting market turnover in the bourse despite the loss .
Market breadth remained negative as 22 losers over 19 gainers were recorded.
Volume traded decreased by -28.44% to 300.52 billion shares, valued at N3.05 billion and traded in 3,112 deals. The highest gainer recorded was CUTIX with an 4.60% gain in its price, while SEPLAT on the other hand was the highest loser with -9.75% loss in its price.
Also, only two out of the key five sectoral indices was affected in today’s reversals.
