From NSE Data, cautious trading persisted in the Nigeria bourse despite fresh demands, as the ASI sheds a marginal loss of -0.17% to close trading session today, Thursday, 10th September 2015 at 29,403.12.
This is seen in the significant loss recorded only by the banking sector which shed a significant -2.19% to end trading session.
The decrease took the week–to–date, the month–to–date to a gain and the year-to-date markets returns to deeper losses of -0.37%, -2.72% and -15.16% respectively.
ZENITHBANK, UBA and GUARANTY were the most active stocks boosting market turnover in the bourse despite the loss.
Market breadth was negative as 25 losers over 23 gainers were recorded..
Volume traded also decreased by -33.38% to 306.10 billion shares, valued at N3.09 billion and traded in 4,650 deals. The highest gainer recorded was HONEYFLOUR with an 9.13% gain in its price, while UBCAP on the other hand was the highest loser with -9.27% loss in its price.
Also,one out of the key five sectoral indices was affected in today’s reversals.
