From NSE Data, declines across all sectors and the ejection of Nigeria from bond index by JP Morgan affected the Nigerian bourse.
This is seen in the stocks pull- back encountered in today’s trading Wednesday, 9th September 2015 as the benchmark index shed a significant -2.98% to end trading session at 29,454.09
The decrease took the week–to–date, the month–to–date to a gain and the year-to-date markets returns to deeper losses of -0.19%, -2.55% and -15.01% respectively
ZENITHBANK, DIAMOND and GUARANTY were the most active stocks boosting market turnover in the bourse despite the loss.
Market breadth was negative as 46 losers over 9 gainers were recorded..
Volume traded increased by 102.72% to 459.45 billion shares, valued at N4.29 billion and traded in 3,396 deals. The highest gainer recorded was TRANSEXPR with an 9.01% gain in its price, while OANDO on the other hand was the highest loser with -8.15% loss in its price.
Also, all of the key five sectoral indices was affected in today’s reversals.
